Eminem and Akon Top Chart

Rapper Akon heads this week's Official UK Singles Chart with 'Smack That'. The single, which features fellow rapper Eminem, entered the chart last week at twelve and jumped to pole position above last week's chart toppers, Westlife who drop to three with their single 'The Rose'.

The top 3 in the albums charts are all greatest hits, George Michael’s Twenty-Five enters at number 1, Jamiroquai fall to 2 and the Sugababes enter at 3.

Eminem is set to return to the big screen

Rapper Eminem is set to return to the big screen after signing a movie deal with Hollywood talent agency International Creative Management.

The '8 Mile' star recently turned down a $10m offer to star opposite Samuel L Jackson in director Doug Liman's upcoming film 'Jumper', but has gone back on his previous pledge to stay away from Hollywood by agreeing to play a role in the planned contemporary remake of the 1950s TV Western 'Have Gun Will Travel'.

Eminem broke out in a tirade against Mariah Carey for denying romance

Rapper Eminem broke out in a tirade against Mariah Carey for denying that they were romantically involved for several months in 2001.

Last year, Mariah Carey branded Eminem a liar after he claimed to have had an affair with her. She was quoted by Britain's Daily Star newspaper as saying: "I knew him, I hung out with him a few times, but nothing sexual occurred. Maybe he thought he'd look bad or something."

Eminem presents new album

Eminem has ended his period of enforced retirement and is back in the studio, his collaborator Akon has revealed.
He added, "Eminem told me he was getting bored with everything, which is why he took a break. But he's back working on an album and I've got some records ready for him to use on it".
